The buvette
The BUVETTE AM SEE was taken over in 2021 by Pascal Sonderegger, the owner of the Hotel Restaurant Chartreuse Hünibach. Along the way, he met Miranda Karau, a creative personality full of ideas. Miranda Karau reorganized the BUVETTE AM SEE and developed an innovative concept from scratch. After three successful seasons, Elena Zwicky took over the management from 2024 and will continue the work of art with great joy and passion for gastronomy. Her commitment will contribute to making the BUVETTE AM SEE a unique place for culinary delights and cozy hours on the lakeshore.

Ahoy everyone, welcome to our Buvette am See!
My ship of life has taken me from Switzerland all the way out into the world - with a four-year stopover at the hotel management college in Lausanne on Lake Geneva, followed by valuable experience in the hotel industry on Lake Lucerne in Lucerne. Now I'm back in my beautiful home on Lake Thun.
I am firmly convinced that every person, whether guest or crew member, makes the difference in our service. Our philosophy is that people are at the center of everything we do and are our most valuable asset. Enjoy a warm atmosphere and culinary variety, from refreshing cocktails to Rob's specialties, always with a focus on freshness, quality and sustainability. Our friendly team is always at your side as we cruise the waves of the lake.

As the kitchen captain of the Buvette, I focus on regional and seasonal products, combined with a touch of creativity and plenty of Amore.
Whether it’s our legendary Buvette Burger, the Sailor’s Hot Dog, or a crispy Pinsa – my team and I prepare everything with passion and the finest ingredients. Stop by, enjoy the food, the laughter, and the Dolce Vita right by the water!
